Starlight Serenade, composed by Julie Knerr Hague, is a lyrical early intermediate piece written in ABA form. The Alberti Bass pattern in the LH gives this piece a Sonatina feel, but the use of the minor iv chord in the key of C Major gives it a wistful character that students will enjoy. This piece is also found in Repertoire Book 3 and Piano Safari for the Older Student Book 3, but due to its popularity, it is now available as a solo sheet.
